Recovery: Small Business to lead the way forward in 2022

As the business sector returns to business post-lockdown, a range of financial experts and leading economists, together with the Treasurer and RBA, predict strong market growth in 2022 from pent up demand across all business sectors.

“Australia’s economy is resilient and well‑positioned to bounce back from the significant challenges brought about by COVID‑19,” says Treasurer Frydenberg.

This impact will be felt particularly in the first quarter of 2022, as business returns and businesses engage and connect with new and existing clients and customers.

While zoom meetings have been the norm, B2B in-person meetings are back.

A recent national survey by EventSmart confirms that 3 out of 5 business owners would attend a business event to further their sales, marketing, and financial strategies during the first six months of 2022.

The Business Events Industry, a $36 billion contributor to the economy pre-Covid, is rising from the ashes. Major cities will again host small to large B2B events as a platform for the SME and enterprise sectors to play a major role in the growth of the economy.

The first Major Business Event of 2022 is SmallBiz-Week, presented at Marvel Stadium, Docklands, Melbourne from the 22nd to 24th March, 2022.

SmallBiz-Week includes four feature events including FINTECH21, Small Business Expo, SmallBiz Forum and SmallBiz Young Hero Awards.

Over three thousand visitors and delegates are anticipated to attend together with 150 exhibitors and 100 speakers providing the latest trends solutions and showcasing business opportunities and options.

Supported by the Victorian Government, City of Melbourne, FinTech Australia, ATO, Australia Made, Australia Post, COSBOA, YBF Ventures, Small Business Connections Media and the ABF Group.

SmallBiz-Week is set to assist SMEs across all industry sectors to engage, connect, and develop their business strategies.
