First live small business event returns to Melbourne

After a year that tested the small-to-medium business community like never before, survival mode can finally be switched off. It’s time for small businesses to start looking to the future by gaining new tools, reconnecting and planning for growth.

Celebrate a return to ‘normal’ operations with two days of back-to-business events and seminars. The Small Business Connections Summit and 6th annual B2B Expo will take place concurrently at the Victory Room in the Marvel Stadium, Melbourne.

With over one hundred exhibitors and keynote speakers, Australia’s major business-to-business event welcomes back the country’s vibrant small business community to once again learn, engage and grow their businesses.

Attendance is free with online registration and guests can sign up for complimentary informative seminars concerning topics most critical to small-to-medium businesses. The SBC Summit and B2B Expo are the first live business events in Australia post Covid-19.

Small Business Connections Summit – April 21

 During the one-day SBC Summit guests can hear from leading business experts on four in-depth topics. Speakers will be presenting their knowledge, tools and original solutions to empower and elevate the small business sector in the post-pandemic era.

  • Future Business Trends: explore what’s next for the small business sector with keynote speakers from Bendigo Bank and Whispir.
  • Cyber Crime: learn about small business vulnerability and cybersecurity with keynote speakers from the Australia Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) and a former FBI and DEA agent.
  • Funding Options for 2021: discover new financing and fintech solutions with keynote speakers from BizPay, Marketlend and Qoin.
  • Digital Marketing Matters: get ahead of vital digital trends and tools with keynote speakers from Gravia Media and StudioHawk.

6th B2B Expo and Small Business Seminar Series – April 21-22

The B2B Expo serves as a platform for businesses to showcase their products, services and technology geared towards the small business sector. During the two-day B2B Expo guests have the opportunity to meet innovative exhibitors from all industry sectors, network with their peers, and forge new business opportunities.

The B2B Expo will also include daily informative talks during the Business Essentials Seminar Series. The series will be presented by renowned keynote speakers from government agencies, major financial institutions, cutting edge start-ups and leading entrepreneurs.

Hosted by News Xtend, each seminar topic is unique and hand-picked to provide small business owners and stakeholders solutions for a range of challenges, including digital and social media marketing, harnessing the power of digitalisation and building resilience.

All guests are welcome to explore the exhibitor expo, which is open to the public, and network during the Mix at Six cocktail hour. The Victorian government’s recent further lifting of restrictions means this event can be at full capacity. The highest Covid-19 hygiene and safety precautions will be in-place to protect all guests.

Austrade Approved Business Events
AVAILABLE NOW APPLY BEFORE 30th MARCH 2021 (Condition apply)

  • ABF Events are approved and listed below have been certified by Austrade on the Schedule of Approved Business Events.
  • This allows exhibitors, sponsors, delegates and partners to participate in the Business Events Grant Program. Note event bookings need to be confirmed ASAP to participate in the grant program
  • The program provides 50% rebate (based on a minimum spend of $20k) for approved items including ABF event-media packages, exhibition stands, corporate function tables, delegate registrations.
  • Govt Grant applications are now open until the 30 March. Please contact ABF to discuss how we can assist, we have experts to assist grant applications.
  • Grant funding will cover up to 50% of eligible expenditure incurred in participating at pre-approved business-to-business events as buyers or sellers during the 2021 calendar year.  All grant applications must be submitted for approval via the following link: https://business.gov.au/grants-and-programs/business-events-grants
