This October, Small Business Connections (SBC) will harness an extensive network of SME stakeholders to bring together the inaugural Small Business Connections Summit & Expo. Running from October 21-23, this three-day event encompasses a series of functions, speaking engagements, networking opportunities, exhibitors and events including:

  • A major expo open to both trade and public
  • A seminar series featuring speakers from government organisations and privately held and publicly listed companies
  • A summit attended by high-profile keynote speakers who will address trends and strategies across all business sectors

  • Numerous networking events including a mix-at-six function, networking breakfast, and business leaders’ luncheon

The SBC Summit delivers high-quality targeted seminars, panel discussions, fireside chats and keynote speaking sessions designed to educate, inspire and challenge delegates from all industries. Unlike the Business Essentials Seminar series, all summit events are ticketed and must be purchased in advance.

The SBC summit includes exclusive speaking opportunities with high-profile keynote speakers:

Speakers include representatives from the government sector, c-level executives from publicly listed and privately held companies, industry experts, opinion leaders, and key decision makers.

Delegates will engage with high-quality content with a focus on financial services, domestic and international trade, innovative digital marketing strategies, cutting-edge tech, trends and services, and the evolving B2B marketplace.

The Summit takes place across two sessions, which are interspersed by the SBC Business Leaders’ Luncheon and the SBC Mix-at-Six, both of which provide ample opportunity to network with high-profile industry leaders and create meaningful connections with c-level executives.

Communicate, connect and capitalise on face-to-face interactions

To maximise the opportunities for visitors, exhibitors and delegates to create meaningful and beneficial business connections, SBC Summit & Expo will host a number of quality networking functions across the three-day event.

SBC Conference 

One day conference will present key topics for Small Business with a focus on the change’s challenges and solutions. What has been the impact, what has changed and how to improve the bottom line as we enter the last quarter of the 2020 and preview 2021. Presented at the Medallion Club on the 22nd October the SBC Conference includes a morning and afternoon session and the SBC Business Leaders Luncheon.

Young Hero Awards Gala Dinner – Wednesday 21 October 

Following on from the nomination and selection process in the months leading up to the SBC Summit & Expo, the second annual Young Hero Awards will be held on Tuesday 8 September. The award ceremony will be accompanied by a gala dinner and attended by sponsors, media, VIP guests and finalists.  

Business Leaders’ Luncheon – Thursday 22 October

Conveniently scheduled in between the morning and afternoon Summit sessions, the Business Leaders’ Luncheon provides opportunities for face-to-face engagement with keynote speakers, delegates, government representatives, and leaders across all business sectors.

Mix at Six – Thursday 22 October

An opportunity for exhibitors, sponsors and delegates to communicate and connect in a more informal setting. Taking place on the evening of Thursday October 22nd after the official proceedings of the day have concluded, the Mix at Six delivers quality opportunities for direct contact with key decision makers and business leaders. 

Networking Breakfast – Friday 23 October

Kickstarting the final day of the SBC Expo & Summit, the Networking Breakfast is designed to bring together business owners, c-level executives and influential industry leaders in a more intimate setting. A keynote address will be delivered before attendees have the opportunity to engage in quality one-on-one interactions.
