Payroll jobs take a hit in NSW, VIC and ACT

The most recent monthly Weekly Payroll Jobs and Wages in Australia release contains the full suite of payroll jobs and wages estimates up to the week ending 14 August 2021. It will be next updated on Thursday 7 October 2021 with estimates up to the week ending 11 September 2021.

Key statistics Payroll jobs:

  • down 1.3% in the fortnight up to 28 August 2021
  • down 0.4% in the previous fortnight (to 14 August 2021)

This interim release presents an updated suite of high-level payroll job indexes, including Australia and each state and territory, up to the week ending 28 August 2021.

  • Australian Capital Territory, with 9.3% of total losses
