The survey of nearly 300 Australian leaders from large businesses revealed that generative AI integration is a top priority for over 80% of executives, driven by its potential to enhance productivity, create innovative experiences, and gain a competitive edge. As more businesses recognise the transformative power of AI, it’s essential for small businesses to stay informed and explore how this technology can benefit their operations.
New Salesforce commissioned YouGov AI research released today moves beyond the more typical employee perspective, exploring C-suite executive motivations and actions on generative AI based on a survey of nearly 300 Australian leaders from large businesses (250+ employees).
Key research highlights:
- Generative AI integration was found to be among the top three business priorities for 81 per cent of Australian C-suite executives.
- Their top three driving factors for adoption were enhanced productivity (43%), innovative customer and employee experiences (42%), and obtaining a competitive edge in a dynamic market (41%).
- 50% said their organisation currently had a clear and defined generative AI strategy, while a further 42% said they had started working on one.
- The CEO is seen as being most responsible for ensuring generative AI is successfully integrated and teams enabled, followed by the CIO/CTO and other department heads.
